Dress Code

Caledonian Club

Members, their guests and our reciprocal club Members always receive a warm Scottish welcome when visiting the Club at 9 Halkin Street. As a smart private club situated in the heart of Belgravia, we do ask all our visitors to comply with our dress code, which is a reflection of our history and traditions.

Dress Code

After 10am, Gentlemen should wear a jacket and tie in all public areas of the clubhouse and ladies a suitable equivalent. A jacket and tie are not required at breakfast and jackets can be removed when out on the Terrace.
A more relaxed dress code applies on Fridays with no ties required all day and a jacket only at Lunch and in the Bar before 6pm.
A smart-casual dress code operates all weekend throughout the clubhouse.

Please note that trainers, t-shirts, shorts, jeans or sportswear are NOT permitted at any time. The only exception being when entering or exiting the Club directly to or from bedrooms.
During the warmer months over the summer jackets and ties may be removed at the Secretary’s discretion. Members will be notified in advance once this relaxation of the dress code comes into operation.

Members and external clients attending private events and meetings at the Club via the 9A entrance are not required to wear a jacket and tie.
