Dress Code

Caledonian Club

Members, their guests and our reciprocal club Members always receive a warm Scottish welcome when visiting the Club at 9 Halkin Street. As a smart private club situated in the heart of Belgravia, we do ask all our visitors to comply with our dress code, which is a reflection of our history and traditions.

Dress Code

After 10am, Gentlemen should wear a jacket and tie in all public areas of the clubhouse and ladies a suitable equivalent. A jacket and tie are not required at breakfast and jackets can be removed when out on the Terrace.
A more relaxed dress code applies on Fridays with no ties required all day and a jacket only at Lunch and in the Bar before 6pm.
A smart-casual dress code operates all weekend throughout the clubhouse.

Please note that trainers, t-shirts, shorts, jeans or sportswear are NOT permitted at any time. The only exception being when entering or exiting the Club directly to or from bedrooms.
Our 2023 Summer Dress Code will operate from 12 June - 11 September. During this period Members are permitted to wear smart-casual clothing throughout the clubhouse, though a jacket is preferred in the Dining Room for dinner.

Please note that trainers, t-shirts, polo shirts, shorts, jeans or sportswear are NOT permitted at any time. The only exception being when entering or exiting the Club directly to or from bedrooms.
External clients booking private events should be aware that the Club operates a business dress code which requires jackets and ties to be worn at all times in the public rooms. For private events this may vary depending on which entrance and spaces are used so please speak with a member of the Events Team to find out which dress code is applicable. The Club reserves the right to refuse access to the club should guests not adhere to the appointed dress code.
