About Us

Welcome to The Caledonian Club, a private Members Club founded in 1891. We are situated in the beautiful surroundings of Belgravia in a mansion house at No 9 Halkin Street. The Caledonian Club is considered to be one of the friendliest clubs in London, a home-from-home, providing a familiar and comfortable place to relax & unwind.

THE PERFECT LOCATION

A few steps away from Buckingham Palace, The Caledonian Club is one of Belgravia’s discreet gems. Founded in 1891 under the leadership of the Marquis Tullibardine, the Club moved away from its St James’ location during the Second World War, in 1946, and opened at 9 Halkin Street where it still stands, in a property which was the last mansion house of its kind built in London.

AN EXQUISITE SUITE OF ROOMS

The understated elegant proportions and original features of its interior combine with the discreet character of the Club to make for a very appealing and enjoyable venue. All of its 9 function rooms, spread across the ground, basement and first floors, display Georgian elegance and style. These include a Snooker Room, Dining Room, Card Room, Library, Drawing Room, and Oval Room among others. The top two floors offer 39 beautifully appointed bedrooms.

ENJOY OUR SOCIAL EVENTS

The club’s varied programme of events ensures that members of all age groups can meet up and socialise throughout the year. Amongst these, St Andrews Night, Burns Night, the Summer BBQ and The Caledonian Club Ball feature alongside internal Society events covering interests such as racing, golf, the arts, literature, music and more.

A CLUB WITH SCOTTISH TRADITIONS

The Club operates as a social club for Scottish members or those with a strong connection with Scotland. Its location and facilities make it an ideal choice for weddings, meetings, and glamourous private functions, which are also available for non-members and external clients.
