Introduction by existing Members is the single largest source of new Members to the Club. However it is not the only route to membership. We currently welcome applications from those suitably qualified. If you are a Scot or have a close association with Scotland you could apply for membership.

There are three main categories of membership; Town, Country, and Overseas. Within each category there are sub-categories relating to age.

  • being of direct Scottish descent, that is to say, tracing descent from a Scottish father, mother, grandfather or grandmother or
  • having, in the opinion of the Committee, the closest association with Scotland or
  • being not otherwise qualified but the son or daughter of a Member

YOUNG MEMBER: the Club actively promotes applications from candidates between the age of 18 and 35. There are various sub-categories with a range of incentives for each sub category. The criteria for membership are identical to that outlined above.
