	University of St Andrews Founded in the 15th century, St Andrews is Scotland’s first university and the third oldest in the English speaking world. Teaching began in the community of St Andrews in 1410 and the University was formally constituted by the issue of Papal Bull in 1413. The University is now one of the top rated universities in Europe for research, teaching quality and student satisfaction and is consistently ranked among the UK’s top five in leading independent league tables produced by The Times, The Guardian and the Sunday Times. The University’s 600th Anniversary Campaign is now underway, launched by HRH Prince William of Wales, aiming to raise £100 million to invest in people and ideas; ensuring that the brightest students come to St Andrews, regardless of background, to be taught be the best teachers.

	The Caledonian Society of London Private dining society. Meet five-six times a year at The Caledonian Club. Membership is men only, however ladies are welcome as guests to some dinners. 	Highlands & Islands Society of London Annual “At Home” – “Aig Baile” day encourages interest in Gaelic culture by providing language, music and dance workshops and brings the Gaelic Books Council to London.

	London Scottish Football Club Rugby at Richmond. At time of writing, the Club has just won the National League One title 2011, and will be promoted to the Championship League next season.
	London Scottish Regiment Pipes and Drums meet at 95 Horseferry Road SW1 on Thursday evenings from 7pm until around 9.30pm. TA support battalion for the five regiments of Foot Guards. The London Scottish Company is paired with the Scots Guards.

	National Trust for Scotland The London Members' Centre has an office in The Caledonian Club.
	Queen Victoria School Boarding school linked to Scottish Servicemen and Women in the UK. The Old Boys Group can be seen at www.oldvictorians.org. This school pipeband is the official Pipeband of Murrayfield in Edinburgh and was involved in the Military Tattoo in 2008.
	Royal Caledonian Ball Friday 13th May 2011 at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London W1K 7TN. A pre-Ball dinner is being held in the Johnnie Walker Music Room at The Caledonian Club for those who do not wish to dine at The Grosvenor.
	Royal Caledonian Schools Trust Established 1815, the Trust helps with educational grants for school clothing, trips, fees and help with living expenses for those in further or higher education
	Royal Company of Archers The Queen's Body Guard for Scotland, The Royal Company of Archers, is the Sovereign's personal Body in Scotland.

	Royal Scottish Country Dance Society London Branch is one of the largest with circa 800 members. Classes for both adults and young people, dances and workshops throughout the year. Annual Day School for dancers and musicians in October. Most dances take place at St Columba's Church Hall, Pont St. The Reel magazine, published quarterly, Branch bookstall & website provide info on all activities and contain a dance diary of events in the south-east of England. Prize-winning demonstration team gives displays of Scottish dance at events throughout the south-east. Celebrated 75th anniversary in 2005.

	Scotscare Charity which provides financial assistance, employment and training opportunities for the homeless, a friendly face to visit them, social networks and housing.

	The Scottish Countryside Alliance The Scottish Countryside Alliance (SCA) represents the interests of rural communities and businesses across Scotland.
	Society of Scottish Lawyers in London (SSLL) Established Oct '87. Main aims are (1) to provide social contact between Scottish lawyers in London; (2) to further their interests and (3) to afford opportunities for the discussion and consideration of matters of interest to members of the Society.
