Club Events & Societies

Whilst the Club has three key events a year; the Burns Supper, St Andrew's Day Dinner and the Summer Ball, there are a host of other events from ceilidhs to dinners for new Members. These provide Members with an opportunity to entertain friends and colleagues and meet with other Members.

A major factor in the Club’s life are the Societies. Whether it’s bridge, golfing, shooting & fishing, snooker, horse racing or music, the Societies bring together Members who share common interests.

The Racing Society currently has two horses in training; Port Charlotte and Caledonian Lad and Members are invited to visit the stables and take  advantage of Owners' and Trainers' facilities on race days.

The Number 9 Society invites well-known speakers to address Members over lunch on the second Tuesday of the month. Speakers have ranged from politicians to sporting heroes and industry leaders. They are informative but relaxed; operated under the Chatham House Rule, they provide a unique insight into topics of the day.

The Younger Members Society covers the spectrum of events within the Club and even further afield as part of the Younger Members' Inter-Club Group.
