Her Majesty The Queen visits the Club

As preparations for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations were under-way around the country, the Caledonian Club was Honoured to welcome Her Majesty The Queen in her capacity as Colonel-in-Chief of The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland at their annual Luncheon.

Her Majesty is greeted by past Chairman Ranald Munro on her arrival at the Club on Wednesday 30th May.

HM The Queen was appointed as Colonel-in-Chief of The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise’s) by her father, HM King George VI, on her 21st birthday in 1947.
